The INTS Documentation & Information Centre

Founded in 1952, the INTS Documentation & Information Centre is the unique French thesaurus in blood transfusion, related regulations and connected fields such as Hematology, Immuno-hematology, Virology, Biochemistry, Molecular biology, Genetics, Public health, Quality.

Over 3,000 books and manuals, 700 PhD theses, 100 periodicals, and all transfusion-related regulations. The wealth and specificity of this documentary fund are instrumental in guaranteeing a relevant, qualified and up-to-date medical, scientific, legal and administrative information at both national and international levels.

Open to teachers, students, physicians, scientists, all blood transfusion professionals and amateurs, it offers an access to a reliable and updated information, both on the spot and through this website ; in so doing, it efficaciously supports the dissemination of information in blood transfusion and is also regarded as a precious knowledge and reference tool in the Education and Training activity.

We operate a permanent regulatory and scientific watch

A regulatory watch is performed every day and latest transfusion-related texts are disseminated every month on this website to keep it permanently updated.

Also, a scientific surveillance is operated, which allows us to carry out :

  • a monthly agenda of French and international scientific meetings and events,
  • the Bibliographie Thématique de la Transfusion (BTT) displaying more than 13,000 bibliographical references selected in professional reviews and sorted out from fifty different criteria,
  • a collection of all INTS members publications (original articles, manuals and manual chapters), historically kept up from the INTS foundation in 1994 and permanently updated.

Transfusion Clinique et Biologique (TCB) is the official review of the SFTS (French Society of Blood Transfusion). Published six times a year, it displays bilingual articles from French and foreign scientists and clinicians covering all fields of Blood Transfusion: immunology, hematology, blood-transmissible infectious agents and emerging pathogens, genetics, molecular biology. In so doing, TCB sets a bridge between transfusion medicine fundamentals and daily practice.
