Background & history

The EuroNet-TMS network of learned societies dedicated to Transfusion Medicine was founded in 2002 by Prof. Philippe Rouger, CEO to the French Institute of Blood Transfusion (INTS) and Chairman to the French Society of Blood Transfusion (SFTS).

Implemented over 17 European countries from scratch, the EuroNet-TMS extended network currently holds more than 30 member-states.

As a European TM observatory, hosted and financially supported by the INTS, EuroNet-TMS has the flexibility to carry out enquiries on regulating authorities’ request: Ministries, CNAM-TS, DGS, HAS, AFSSAPS.

In this context, multiple investigations are conducted by EuroNet-TMS such as :

This capitalization of permanently updated knowledge and experience feedback brings valuable indicators and allows us to follow the European development of blood transfusion in real time, setting some kind of scientific and regulatory link between European and French health authorities.
